The Canes Arcanae (though built off of the frame work of the traditional Rider-Waite tarot) is a very unique deck.

The 78 cards in this deck are richly illustrated in pen with washes of ink, creating a darker atmosphere than the traditionally very colorful tarot decks available. Though the cards may lack saturation, they are brimming with ornate details and their own ambience. Silver gilding on the card's edges completes the subdued palette, while adding glimmer and light.

Each card is its own narrative, guiding you through the art and symbolism of tarot.

AND - The best part! The canes arcane takes you into the world of dogs! Decked in everything from medieval finery and armor to druid robes, this tarot highlights a variety of breeds sitting in for each major and minor arcana.

Canes Arcanae is printed on high quality 350gsm paper with a matte UV finish. Each card is 2.76 x 4.7inches(70x120mm) with ultra-metallic silver leafing on the edges.
The box features a hinged opening with a silver ribbon inside.

This edition includes an updated box and borderless design, as well as a more smooth, matte texture and thicker card stock. This can make the cards seem 'sticky' at first, due to a lack of the texture and flexibility present in standard playing cards, this goes away after repeated use.
